Agro Canvas

Let's paint together, create a rich time just for us, and create a new canvas for ourselves with our friends.

What will you grow and what will you do? This is not just about participating in a set program.

AgroCanvas is a community where members plan, create, and grow together.

So, what will you draw?

This is what we plan to do

Our Mandarin Orange Mountain

We offer a variety of work experiences and events, including fertilizing, flower viewing, weeding, fruit picking, and harvesting.

We are also considering doing some hardcore farming work that will allow us to accumulate harvest points.

Let's Grow Green Papaya Society

Participants will have the opportunity to experience activities such as planting seedlings, fertilizing and watering, removing unnecessary leaves, and harvesting.

Base Activities

We will process and cook what we harvest, and hold events where members can gather together. We are also considering events such as firefly viewing, BBQ competitions, oyster farm tours, and miso making.

What is Kumamoto Agrocanvas?

"It's up to the members to decide what and how they want to paint on the canvas" - these words are our basic stance.

"Agro Canvas" is a new type of members-only community provided by Amakusa Nokobo Fao. We aim not only to "experience rural life," but also to create something together with our members, starting from "what to do."

The word "agro" here does not only refer to agriculture. We consider the fields bathed in the sun, the ocean with the scent of salty air, the mountains brimming with greenery, and above all, the local activities, nature, and air to be all part of the "agro" we refer to.

And here at Agrocanvas, we deliberately distance ourselves from the digital world and value real, face-to-face connections and the creativity that comes from them.

The name "Canvas" embodies this feeling.

What to plant, what kind of events to hold, what kind of space to create... Why not join us in thinking, discussing, and making it a reality based on the voices and ideas of our members who say, "This is what I want to do!"

Agrocanvas is a co-creation community where each member is an artist and a planner.

Our Mandarin Orange Mountain

Our Mandarin Orange Mountain: Creating a farm together. Designing the joy of touching the soil and growing.

What to cultivate and challenge.

For example, in addition to cultivating citrus fruits such as Shiranui (Dekopon), members will utilize their ideas, such as "I want to grow vegetables like this together!" or "I want to grow herbs," and together they will design and put into practice the entire farming process, from planting plans to daily care and harvesting.

You can also use it as a place to experience becoming a "Shiranui🍊 Tree Owner."

Let's Grow Green Papaya Society

Plan a delicious time around the dining table: Turn the excitement of harvesting into a special memory

How the members enjoy the crops they harvest is up to them.

For example, we will come up with ideas for planning and running a food-related event, such as a harvest festival theme, a BBQ menu, or holding a cooking class using freshly picked green papayas, and together we will create delicious moments.

Sometimes it can be fun to try to develop an original processed product.

Green papaya seedlings are planted in May at about 30cm in height, and grow surprisingly quickly, reaching a height of 2m by October.

Full, green papayas are harvested from autumn to early winter.

Spiritual moments and connections with friends: digital detox and real-life interaction

Why not design some time to disconnect from the digital world, clear your senses, and immerse yourself in nature?

Leave your smartphone with us and go for a walk in the forest or sit on the veranda.Read a book or just relax. Enjoy the sound of the wind, the chirps of insects, the croaking of frogs, and the luxury of not being rushed by time.

Together with our members, we plan and execute retreats where you can enjoy the luxury of doing nothing, as well as meetings to talk about AgroCanvas and your future.

It is also possible for members to hold workshops based at the farm stay "Fao no Yado."

Various events:

Dry processing of Shiranui

Turning ideas into reality and launching future projects: Making communities and regions more interesting

We actively seek out our members' opinions regarding Agrocanvas' operations and new projects.

Some things that come to mind right now are mandarin orange blossom viewing, early summer firefly viewing events, summer BBQ social gatherings, cooking classes using harvested produce, and so on.

We welcome ideas such as "Wouldn't doing something like this make the local area more lively?" or "Can we use our skills to make it more comfortable?" and work hard together to make it a reality.
